Privacy Policy

HDC Brands LLC ("Stormbill," "we," "us") operates stormbill.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. Our rule is simple: we never sell your personal data, and lead data is never readable through our public API.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact details — email address (required for delivery and the free sample), name if you provide it.
• Property inputs — the address you enter and your answers to our home questions (build year, roof year, opening protection, garage door type, and similar). These are needed to generate your Report.
• Payment information — processed by Stripe on your own secure checkout page. We receive confirmation of payment and the last four digits / card brand for receipts; we never see or store full card numbers.
• Communications — emails you send to support@stormbill.com.

Information collected automatically

• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and pages viewed, used for security, fraud prevention, and understanding which content works.
• Cookies — see our Cookie Policy. Essential cookies keep the site working; analytics cookies (if enabled) are aggregated and never tied to your Report inputs for advertising.

2. How we use it

• Generate and deliver your Report (PDF + web view) and email it to you.
• Send the free sample-report preview and, if you opt in, a short educational follow-up sequence about the wind-mitigation form change and grant deadlines. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
• Process payments and prevent fraud.
• Improve the Service — including building anonymized, aggregate benchmarks (e.g., "homes like yours in Lee County"). No personally identifiable information ever leaves your account in these aggregates.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. What we never do

• We never sell your personal information to anyone — not data brokers, not carriers, not contractors.
• We do not share your address or Report with third parties for their marketing.
• Our lead database is configured so the public website key can only write new leads, never read them back — your email cannot be scraped through our site.

4. Who we share with (and why)

• Stripe — payment processing (their privacy policy governs card data).
• Supabase / hosting providers — database and website hosting, acting as our processors under contract.
• Email delivery provider — to send your Report and transactional emails.
• Legal compliance — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights.

We do not use advertising trackers that follow you across the web.

5. Data retention

We keep your Report and inputs for as long as your account is active so you can re-download your dossier and receive your annual re-score reminder (Plus tier). Lead emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time at support@stormbill.com; we will delete it within 30 days except where the law requires us to keep records (e.g., payment receipts).

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures: encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security on our database so public keys can only insert leads — never read them — and least-privilege access for our team. No system is perfect; if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to opt out of marketing emails. Florida residents: nothing in this policy limits your rights under applicable Florida law. To exercise any right, email support@stormbill.com — we respond within 30 days and never discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

8. Children

The Service is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and will delete it if we learn of it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and we will email account holders about changes that affect how we use their data.
